Abstract

The current study aims to determine the impact of work passion, with its dimensions (self-motivation, work engagement, and enjoyment at work), on organizational success, with its dimensions (efficiency and effectiveness), in selected colleges of the University of Samarra. The study adopted the descriptive-analytical approach, and data were collected through a questionnaire prepared for this purpose. The questionnaire was distributed to a random sample of (148) faculty members in selected colleges of the University of Samarra, namely the Colleges of Arts, Administration and Economics, and Agriculture, whose total teaching staff comprises (240) individuals. The responses of the sample members were analyzed using the statistical software (SPSS V.24). The study reached several findings, the most prominent of which was the existence of a strong impact of work passion on organizational success, indicating that work passion, through its dimensions of self-motivation, work engagement, and enjoyment at work, affects the success of the colleges under study. The dimensions of work passion were found to be present in the colleges under study according to the results of the (T) test, as they were statistically significant at less than (5%), indicating that the colleges under study possess the dimensions of work passion that enable them to perform tasks comprehensively, efficiently, and effectively. The study added value by highlighting a behavioral and psychological variable among faculty members that contributes to achieving success at the level of the colleges under study and the university, as previous studies had not examined the relationship between these two variables.
