Аннотация

This study aimed to analyze the impact of electronic payment systems on enhancing the competitiveness of government institutions in light of digital transformation, based on the importance of digitalization as a strategic tool for improving institutional performance and raising the quality of public services. The study sought to answer the main question: To what extent do electronic payment systems contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of government institutions? The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to a sample of employees in several government institutions that implement electronic payment systems. The data were analyzed using the SPSS statistical software, relying on arithmetic means, standard deviations, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and linear regression analysis, at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a statistically significant positive correlation and impact between the level of implementation of electronic payment systems and the dimensions of competitiveness, namely operational efficiency, service quality, speed of completion, beneficiary satisfaction, and cost reduction. The results also showed that electronic payment contributes to improving institutional performance, enhancing financial transparency, and reducing reliance on cash transactions, which positively impacts the image and competitiveness of government institutions. The study recommended expanding the application of electronic payment systems within a comprehensive digital transformation strategy, while providing a robust technological infrastructure, developing human resources, and updating legislation governing digital transactions. This will ensure that these systems are used to their fullest potential in enhancing the efficiency of government institutions and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
